The story unfolds around the year 1860. Louis, a photographer, convinces the general of the French Army to send him to Mexico to photograph the colonial war that is ravaging the country. Santiago, an Argentine police corporal, crosses the border into Uruguay fleeing from other police officers who are looking for him. The drama will be a telling of historical events with the scholar as the central character, in the samevein as “Jung Do Jun”(who influenced the founding of the Joseon dynasty). Ryu Seong Ryong was an official who served during King Seonjo’s reign in the late 16th century. He was a brilliant Confucian scholar who was put in charge of military operations during the Imjin War, and greatly influenced AdmiralLee Soon Shin.

The story here takes a major u-turn as turbulence surfaces in Priya and Rajeev's personal life and marital life. That changes the life of Rajeev, Priya and Gautham forever.
